The schedule for the Townsville leg of Festival 2018 has been unveiled, featuring events and cultural displays to appeal to a range of audiences.
Townsville is hosting a number of basketball events for the 2018 Commonwealth Games, including Men’s and Women’s qualifying finals. Festival 2018 is a 12-day art and cultural celebration that will run alongside the Games in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Cairns and Townsville. The Townsville leg will feature free public performances, art displays, and family events in The Strand, Jezzine Barracks and Queens Gardens.
Running from April 4 to April 15, the Commonwealth Games and Festival 2018 is expected to provide a welcome boost to Townsville’s tourism industry. Townsville Rentals’ partner Accom Townsville has short-term rental properties available for visitors to the city during this celebration.
