Hot on the heels of Willows Shopping Centre’s newly completed $70 million redevelopment, two Townsville shopping precincts have announced major expansion plans.
Fairfield Central shopping complex recently lodged a Development Application for Stage Three of their precinct. This proposal, previously estimated at $24 million, is planned to accommodate a Coles supermarket and additional specialty stores.
Another application for a new major supermarket and specialty store retail space has been lodged by Castletown Shopping Centre. This project has been estimated to be a $40 million investment for the centre. If approved, this redevelopment is anticipated to begin in 2018.
